Our
Mission
We chose to live in the country, just outside of Spokane, WA because our dream was to start a
small farming venture based on sustainable organic agricultural practices.
We believe it is our responsibility to enhance the health of the land and
its wildlife. We are also proud to say that we have our
organic certification from the Washington State Dept. of Agriculture.
(Certification # 1239)
Gourmet garlic was a natural choice
because it grows well in our climate, garlic tastes great and garlic is so
healthy for you. We were delighted when we discovered the difference
between our varieties of garlic and what is usually found in the grocery
store. We also enjoy teaching others to grow garlic organically.
We first became interested in attracting birds as an organic method of
controlling insect pests. However as we have watched the birds every
year we realized how beautiful and interesting they can be. Charley
loves to make the birdhouses in his down time every winter.
Recently we also increased the number of
books that we sell. Look in the book barn to see all of the new titles. we
have met many interesting people through selling our organic seed garlic, who
had many questions about how to farm/garden organically in their area and
perhaps make money too. These are books that can't be found in most book
stores and may even be hard to find on the internet. We hope these books
will help you.
